Cookie policy

Last updated 15 September 2026. This page is a template for solicitor review and is not legal advice.

Controller: Courier Drivers (operating the Courier Passport service at courierpassport.com).

This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies for visitors in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the EU ePrivacy Directive, UK GDPR, and EU GDPR.

What we use today

We do not currently set HTTP cookies on courierpassport.com for advertising or analytics.

We use limited browser storage so the site can work:

NameTechnologyPurposeDurationCategory
cp_cookie_consentlocalStorageRemembers your cookie choice and the policy versionUntil you clear site data or we publish a new consent versionStrictly necessary
cp_tokensessionStorageSigned-in session for the driver hub, business hub, and admin screensUntil you sign out or close the browser tabStrictly necessary

Strictly necessary storage does not require consent. We still tell you about it here.

Optional categories

Analytics and marketing — off unless you opt in. We do not load analytics, advertising, or social-media pixels unless you switch analytics on. None of those scripts are deployed today. If we add them later, they will not run until you consent, and this table will list their names, providers, and durations.

You can accept all, reject non-essential, or save granular choices from the banner or Cookie settings.

Third-party services you choose to use

If you add a passport to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, or follow a link to a partner, Apple, Google, or that partner sets their own cookies under their policies. That is not our banner; it happens after you leave this site or open their app.

Our API (Authorization: Bearer) does not set a tracking cookie for partner lookups.

Legal basis

  • Strictly necessary storage — PECR / ePrivacy exemption for services you request (signing in, remembering this choice). UK/EU GDPR: contract and legitimate interests (security of the session).
  • Analytics or similar (only if you opt in) — consent. You can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Your choices

  • Use the banner on first visit (and again if we change this policy’s consent version).
  • Open Cookie settings from the footer or this page.
  • Clear site data in your browser.

EEA and UK users may also complain to their data protection authority (the ICO in the UK, or your local authority in the EEA — see edpb.europa.eu).
